Lessons

Slide types, saved work, preview and release checks.

Students go through a course one slide at a time. A slide can show content or ask them to send work, answer questions or book a time. Open Build in a course or group to set the order. The outline lets you add, rename, move, duplicate and delete slides.

The editor saves as you work. Wait for Saved before leaving. If you see Not saved, retry and check again. Preview lets you try the path without changing a student's progress.

ContentReads text or views an image, video or PDF.Add content and wait for uploaded media to be ready.
File responseSends a document, image or video.Choose accepted file types and a rule for continuing.
QuizAnswers choice or written questions.Complete the questions and answer options.
AppointmentBooks a time.Connect Cal.com or Calendly and choose an event.

A group needs at least one slide before you can publish it. Course release lists problems that still need work, such as empty content, media that is not ready, unfinished quiz questions or an appointment without an event. Follow each issue back to Build, then check the release panel again.

File responses

A file response asks the student to send work. You can make the upload optional or hold the student here until they send it, reach a deadline or get your approval.

After the deadline needs a deadline. An opening time must be before the deadline. A course can require each group to set its own dates before publication. Check the group's time zone when you set them. For After approval, review the work in the student's course record; see Teaching.

Quizzes

A quiz starts with one unfinished choice question. Write its question and add at least two answer options. Mark the correct option; Allow multiple answers lets the student choose more than one. You can also add a Free text question for a written answer and show guidance with it.

The quiz needs at least one complete question before publication. Choice answers can be checked against the options you mark. Written answers are available for review. Try the quiz in Preview after changing its questions.

Appointments

First connect Cal.com or Calendly in Settings → Scheduling. Then choose the connected calendar and an event on the slide. The student can use that event to book a time. Preview shows the step without making a booking. Check the event in your calendar service before publishing.

Existing group copies

A group keeps the course copy it received when created. Later edits to the course do not change that copy until you choose a template update. That action can replace edits made in the group, so check its dates and student work first.
