To start teaching, create a group and give a student access. Changes to the course do not update a group that already exists. Check Template updates before replacing a group's lessons or sales page.

A new course needs only a name and starts free. Its email language starts in English. When an email is sent, the student's chosen language takes priority, followed by the group's setting and then the course's setting. See School settings for the full order.

The course also sets whether new groups appear in the public list and have a sales page. A group can use those choices or set its own. If it uses the course choice, changing the course choice also changes the group. If it has its own choice, the group keeps it.

The sales page can have a subtitle, description, extra instructions, evaluation details, cover image, outline and layout. Selling courses gives the field limits and price rules. You can archive a course and restore it later.
