Add and preview lessons
Build a simple course path and check it before creating a group.
Each slide is one step in the course. Students go through them in order. Start with a content slide; you can add file responses, quizzes and appointments later.
Add the first slide
Open your course and choose Build. In Outline, choose Add content slide. Add a short piece of text or media for students to see first.
The slide appears in the outline. Give it a clear title so you can find it again when the course grows.
Check that it is saved
The editor saves changes automatically. Wait for Saved before leaving. If you see Not saved, choose Try again and wait for Saved. Otherwise, your last change may be lost.
Follow the student's path
Choose Preview and go through the slide as a student would. You can restart the preview or jump to a later slide. Preview does not change a real student's progress.
You now have a lesson to show your first group. To publish a group, it needs at least one slide that students can see. Empty content or media that is still processing may also block publication. See Lessons for other slide types and their rules.
