Now live: your brand, your domain and a closer view of your students
Custom domains and styling are here, along with student activity, live class presence and simpler course management. See what has shipped and what is still planned.
Two of the features we shared in our June roadmap post are now here: custom domains and custom styling. We have also added ways to see when students are active and keep your courses organised as your business grows.
Welcome students on your own domain
You can now use your own web address for your Taskpipe site, such as learn.yourbusiness.com. Once your domain is connected and verified, students can browse your course offers, sign in and learn under that address.
Your name and logo carry through to the student experience, including sign-in emails sent for your hosted site. The move from your website to your course can feel like part of the same business.
You can still keep your existing website for your main pages and use Taskpipe for your courses.
Make the look your own
Custom CSS is now available, with separate styles for your site and emails. A designer or developer can help you adjust colours, fonts and spacing to fit your brand.
Together with your logo and domain, this gives you more control over how students experience your business from their first visit to their lessons.
See when students are active
You can now see each student's latest activity alongside the number of courses they belong to. This gives you a starting point for checking in with someone who has not been around recently.
Inside a class, live profile images show who else is there. Teachers and students can see that they are sharing the space with other people, even when they are working at their own pace.
Recent activity is a sign that someone has been using the app; it does not tell you whether they have understood a lesson. Use it alongside their work and your feedback.
Keep growing courses organised
You can rename courses and groups, archive courses, and move a group to another course. Moving a group keeps its lessons, student access and progress, so you can change how your courses are organised without asking students to start again.
Students can also choose English or Spanish when signing in and using the app. This changes the app's language; it does not translate your lesson content.
If you teach the same material to several groups, see how to run groups without rebuilding your lessons.
Still planned: video protection and Instagram leads
DRM video protection and an Instagram leads integration remain on our roadmap. They are not part of this release, and we do not have release dates to share yet.
DRM would add another layer of protection for video lessons. The Instagram integration would help bring interest from future students into your lead follow-up process. We will explain what each supports when it is ready.
Email the Taskpipe team if either would help your business, or if you would like help making your course site feel more like your own.
